Mini Review - Transformers Legacy Cosmos

Fan favorite space pudding cup Cosmos blasts into the Speedia 500 collection as part of Transformers Legacy. This guy comes in one flavor; G1, And he nails it. Standing in as the race official for the Speedia 500, Cosmos is here to make sure everyone plays nice and we get a good clean race.

The Goodies (+)
+
Awesome G1 inspired Deco. We finally get a representation of Cosmos as he appears in the original cartoon.

+ Fun, intuitive transformation, with a couple interesting tricks that you don’t expect.

+ Simple but effective articulation.

+ Lots of paint, well applied with no problem areas on my copy.

+ Lots of ports and connectors for 5mm accessories, as well as WFC battle effects and stands.

+ Multiple accessories, blaster can pull double duty as a flag.

The Baddies (-)

This always happens with yellow on Transformers. The paint color and plastic color are nowhere near a match. It’s visually off putting if you focus on it, but not the end of the world.

- Gaps in the forearms. Folding panels would have gone a long way to complete the look. Wrist swivel would also have been appreciated.

- Exclusive to Walmart. May not be easy to find for all collectors.

Final Thoughts

This is the definitive Cosmos for the Generations line. I don’t see him being topped for a long time. Tons of fun to play with and transform, great articulation, fun accessories. This guy is out of this world!

If I had to complain about anything, it’s the exclusivity. I wish more people could get their hands on him without having to pay above retail to grab it from unsavory third parties. I love sharing pics but it can be a bummer when no one else is able to find the same figures.
