Mini Review - NewAge H22 Chimera

NewAge comes to the legends scale/mini masterpiece ring with a killer little set of camera cons. Featuring a ton of articulation, a fun and involved transformation, unique accessories and even lights and sound effects! It’s also got what I consider to be the most important accessory for a reflector team… a mini reflector accessory! All told this a great set with only a few minor inconveniences in my opinion.

Thanks to Paul N. for lending me the NewAge H22 Chimera to check out.

The Goodies (+)

+ Very impressive articulation and balance.

+ Very expressive.

+ Well done, individual, face sculpts for the size.

+ Unique weapons homaging the G1 design.

+ Lights and Sounds!

+ Includes mini alt mode accessory!

The Baddies (-)

- The hips are too tight, the legs move together if you don’t hold them.

- No stoic/neutral facial expressions.

- Weapons only fit properly in right hands due to a tab on the arm.

- No storage for the lens in bot mode.

- No flash module, no tripod for camera mode.

- Batteries required for lights and sound are uncommon.

Final Thoughts (Do I recommend this figure?)

I absolutely recommend this set if you want a legends style reflector team. The figures are well built, with great paint and effective articulation. You really can’t go wrong!
